Disaster in Haiti

I just watched the news and I am shocked by images from the capital of Haiti. This was not a good start for 2010. For those who watched CNN today, you know what I mean. The whole capital is destroyed and people are on the street seeking for their family under the ruins.
Such images are hard to understand.
France, the USA are among the first countries to send military for security and medical facilities to treat the wounded. French president even called for an international conference on the reconstruction of the devastated country.
There is also a huge effort on Twitter for collecting money.
I really hope this year will not be like this. These people did not deserve such a disaster.
